The very first website I made was pure hand coded and lots and lots of HTML. Then, a couple of years later, someone pointed me to a content management system called Mambo and hey presto, I found an easy way to update a page. And if this new theme from Joomla Bamboo was available back then, I'd have probably still been using it.
But to get the most out of it, I would have needed Twitter and quite a lot of quite new things to be available, so it wouldn't have worked, but my personal site would have looked better than anything you would have seen all those years ago.
So, you've probably guessed this theme is designed specifically for personal sites - so if you have a domain name that just so happens to be your surname and you wanted to have place to link to images on Picasa or Flickr, or to what you were listening to on Spotify or posting on Twitter - this theme could very well be for you.
