This was released some time ago and it's my fault for not telling you earlier so blame me but while you are, you should visit Shape5 to see this Virtuemart theme.
This theme is designed around VirtueMart but can be used on any Joomla website. It includes an amped up lytebox called S5 VM Lytebox which makes the product detail "View Full-Size Image" link open the larger image up in a lytebox.
The template has 19 modules positions and 14 different module styles - certainly bang for your buck.
